Unbelievable. The Ipads moved on to the C a couple of years ago. Actually 2018. The airpods are still stuck on the Lightning. Why, why, why?????

So is the latest iPhone. Why would they abandon it before they need to for standard consumer devices who generally have lightning cables.

The iPad Pro went to USB-C for the necessity of marketing it as an enterprise computing device and likely increased charging demands. The standard model iPads didn’t get it until much later, likely as part of their major refresh.

The fact is most consumers just don’t really care enough about it to influence them.

Apple is being forced by EU regulations to move everything to USB-C. It’s not just to market to enterprise customers. I’m sure iPods are the last to get the upgrade to USB-C.

Here is a great video by Marques Brownlee explaining when and if Apple will ever make the Iphone and other items USB-C compatible.

After watching the video, I don't think we will ever see a USB-C Iphone and before you say "Apple has to comply or they can't sell them in the EU", please watch the video and see when they would have to comply and see the big out the EU gave them.

Personally I don't care if they ever move to USB-C or not. I have plenty of cables of both.

Airpods Pro 2 can charge on the Apple Watch magnetic charging puck. That's been so convenient that I forgot it still had Lightning.
