Network Experts? Can't connect to wireless router to change settings UPDATE PG.2

Using MSP4 (Windows 10 anniversary), Surface Pro docking station and hardwired (ethernet) from wall into computer. Wire from wall is plugged directly into back of the router into one of the four ports.
On this computer, no internet issues. I'm able to browse through my ethernet and wireless connection.
Other devices (phone, iPads, another laptop, etc.) are all able to connect to the internet through wireless configuration.
I've spent hours and hours on the phone with TrendNet. They believe it is a Microsoft issue.
Here's what we have done (from what I can remember):
- Uninstalled Chome. Reinstalled Chrome. Installed Firefox. Even tried using Internet Explorer to go along with Microsoft Edge. Simply not able to log into my router using LINK
- Uninstalled ethernet and wireless drivers. Re-installed.
- Disabled Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Firewall. Used only Windows Firewall. No success. Even disabled Windows Firewall and went "unprotected" for a couple of minutes. No success.
- Changed IP4 settings to "Use the following DNS Server addresses: 8.8.8.8 for Preferred DNS server and 8.8.4.4 for Alternate DNS server. No success.
The only way I am able to access my router's settings are through wireless using my extra laptop or Google Pixel XL that is connected through my wireless connection. I am NOT able to use this extra laptop to connect through Ethernet connection as I do not have a docking station or RJ45 to USB adapter (although one is coming in today via Amazon).
Is this a laptop issue or is this a TrendNet issue?
What else can I do besides call Microsoft Surface Pro support? I'm tempted to purchase another router just to see if I can login to its settings from this computer.
Thoughts?

That's bizarre. Can you at least ping the router from the docked Surface Pro?
Posted on 12/7/16 at 2:50 pm to Bard
Yes. Ping it with no issues.
Can't figure it out. TrendNet wants to blame Microsoft.
I guess I will have to see what Microsoft says next.

Does your router have a login page? I have a Nighthawk R7000 and I go to routerlogin.net and then login with my router username and password to change my router settings.
What kind of router do you have?

Are you running straight DNS or are you doing MAC Addressing?
Posted on 12/7/16 at 3:09 pm to Will Cover
Do you have a hotspot on your phone that you can attempt an internet connection with?
Edit, just re-read about docking station. Can you connect undocked?

Straight DNS.
I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary.

Once my RJ45 to USB arrives today, I'm going to give this a shot. I'll update tonight.

Definitely sounds like the NIC in the dock has gone bad.

Could be.
This is a brand new docking station, just got it about 3 days ago!

Yet made 365+ days ago. As I'm sure you are well aware of, when you purchase it means shite other than you can exchange or return it.
I'm a little tippsy (at work) so sadly I have nothing to provide but I am sure someone will help you fix your shite. I know there's a guy that used to post on the Gaming Board named LoopBack who worked in Internet and Networking for Cox (not call center, field work). Hopefully he sees your thread and chimes in. Dude is pretty smart when it comes to this stuff.

I should clarify. I previously had a different Surface docking station but exchanged it 3 days ago, along with my SP4.
So all in all, I have a "new" SP4 and docking station. I never tried logging into my router with previous equipment, so I can't say for certain that my old equipment would have worked.
I'm anxious to try my adapter that should here any minute from now.

I've been reading up and it seems quite a few people have had connection issues with the docking stations (although it was all connectivity being lost when docked).

He's able to ping the router through the docking station so it's unlikely the problem is the NIC.

Update.
RJ45 to USB adapter just arrived. I unplugged my Ethernet cable from the docking station and inserted into adapter. Quick install, no issues. Tested speed on Eatel's speed test page, again no issues.
Typed in 192.168.10.1 and still not able to get in. Don't think it is the docking station.
Swapped computers. HP Spectre laptop (about a year old). Plugged in adapter to USB port with Ethernet cable. Tested on Eatel's speed test page, no issues here.
Typed in 192.168.10.1 and I am able to log into my router's home page.
So ... it has to be an issue with my Surface Pro 4 ... the question is ... what is it?
The HP Spectre uses Kaspersky Total Security, the same as my MSP4. Both systems use Windows 10.
I'm running out of ideas for troubleshooting. I've never seen anything like this.

You can read where the anniversary edition has screwed up a lot of stuff. Its likely your problem somewhere in that process. I would say its a microsoft problem

Either this or Windows firewall being stupid.
Try turning off your windows firewall.
Eta
Just read your update.
Yeah, Def call Microsoft.

The only thing that is different between the two computers is that my MSP4 has been updated to Windows Anniversary edition. I voluntarily did this.
My HP did not get updated to Anniversary edition unless it updated to this version on its own?

No you would have to update it to the anniversary edition so now you've likely narrowed the problem.
