Need to get a new printer for IMAC, basic family/ school use

Any recommendations?

We never used our HP printer much, but every time I would go to print something it was out of ink. We would get new cartridges, print ~5 pages, not use it for 4-6 months and then it would claim to be out. Now I just print everything I need at work.

When I bought inkjet printers, this was my exact same experience.
Then I bought an HP Laser printer, and it is fast, reliable, and has never once run out of toner.
I would recommend buying a B&W Laser printer for use at home to print documents and papers, and get your photos printed through an online or store service instead. I guess whether that would work out or be convenient for you depends on just how much photo printing you do on a regular basis.

You can order pictures from Walgreens online and pick them up in less than an hour most times
