Debated if I should post here, or the money board.

Our company created a small app based on MS Access that allows us to create new entries for our customers and enter info pertaining to that account (contact info, special instructions, location, etc). This allows us to track what jobs we've performed for them in the past, and what we have scheduled for them in the future. We can also export to pdf and email this info to our service reps.

I am looking for a program that will have this functionality, only need it to be accessible via internet (plus mobile app would be great) so all of our other offices can take advantage. I would also like to have a robust calendar section that will allow us to notate appointments and include notes such as which service rep will take that appointment.

Any help would be appreciated

This sounds to me like something tailor made for Salesforce or Zoho. But you would do away with your Access DB

I'm totally fine with not using the access db anymore (although it will be a pain in the arse to transfer all of the info). I just want something that is easy to use, and offers at minimum the features we currently have.

We actually are using Zoho as an order entry program for when we need to order sales literature throughout the company. Been using it for about a year and it has been great. That's actually why we are looking at replacing the access db.

My company offers one. It's cloud based. You can do email / text marketing and mass upload contacts into it. Contacts are automatically added into the cloud where a form is filled out or a schedule is requested. It also has an app where you can control it all from your smartphone.

Is it something your company made, or is available to the public?

It's company made. small-medium sized businesses is are target market but churches and non profits use it as well.

You can tag/group your contacts into different categories and mass email or text to those tagged groups, individual texts or mass to everyone.

We also put the contact (scheduler, call me back or forms) software on your website, business Facebook page, yahoo local and other local map listings who can add the software. And when people use this function to contact you, it auto-adds their info to the cloud for future contact.

The package also includes an account with Yext. BasicAlly if you go into our app and upload pictures or update hours, it would communicate the change to Google, YaHoo, Yelp, Bing and about 70 other local listing sites.

It's pretty cool to be honest.

How many texts/emails would you need to send per month? How many contacts?

We don't necessarily need this as a form of contact with our customers (although that might be something to look at). But rather an organization tool so that we can keep customer info in a central location accessible to those that need it throughout the company. In addition to having a customer list, we need to be able to add appointments to each customer page that includes details of that particular visit (date, service type performed, list of service reps scheduled for job, etc).

I know salesforce would have everything you'd need. They have an app that's pretty easy to use and they can do about everything if you are willing to pay for it. It just gets expensive compared to small programs like what I had originally posted but that promotion sofitware I first mentioned doesn't sound like the correct program for you. My company uses salesforce for our internal management.
