My google play music seems to play the same 80 songs on shuffle.

I have roughly 1000 songs on there but i swear it plays the same songs 95% of the time. Once in a blue moon i'll hear a song that i forgot was even on my library because the shuffle seems to stick to certain songs.
Maybe it's all in my head but i swear it does this. Anyone else have this issue?

I mean i like 2 legit 2 quit but i dont want to hear it every week.

I hate to break it to you, but I think it is all in your head, because 1000 songs doesn't last as long as it might seem. That only gets you about 60 hours of listening, so you are very likely to hear the same song every week.

I think they just have terrible algos.
Spotify shuffle will play the same 50 songs out of a 1000 song playlist, it's awful. Google it, there are a ton of complaints.

i just found a forum discussing this so it's not in my head. I'm not in my car 60 hours a week thankfully. Probably no more than 6-8.

I just have the songs in my library on shuffle all. They arent grouped in any fashion at all. It's not a road music radio station.

All I can suggest is maybe look for a pattern in what it plays. Maybe it plays songs you rated highly more often? Or maybe some songs are just more memorable to you, and it is all in your head? Or maybe it's just a fluke in the randomness lately?

it's not a new issue. I just brought it up but it's been like this for over 6 months.
Honestly i didnt even know you could rate songs in google play music. Never done that.

I don't have this problem, but when I shuffle all on my phone, it would start playing alphabetically around M, but mixing in a few songs throughout the list, like its trying to simultaneously shuffle and play in order at the same time.

google never plays the same shuffle twice for me.
sometimes it shuffles my 1980s acid music, sometimes its jazz, sometimes lounge music, sometimes female vocalists, sometimes hard rock..
i dont get it. i have lots of mp3s and maybe mine are tagged better but google music offers me TONS of 'new mixes' on my listen now page and when i say 'play music' on my watch, it just randomly selects a style and goes to town.

the 'i'm feeling lucky' button? that just selects a random genre to mix up songs for just like one of those instant mixes i highlighted.
eta try clicking it several times; each time you should get a completely different vibe.

He means just going to the library under songs and just pressing play all.
