last time i was at my parents house i had my little portable bose bluetooth sitting by his chair so he could listen to the LSU baseball game that was on TV.
i was streaming it from my phone not the TV.

i know there's soundbars and subwoofers out there, but he just wants a speaker to put on the table by his chair, so he don't have to turn the TV up so dang loud!

any ideas or suggestions?
thanks

pretty good idea for some older folks...I am not sure whether you can stream from a tv to a speaker via bluetooth or not...if it is not built in, I'd bet you can find something to plug into a port on the tv that would do it, though...

My husband and I use wireless headphones to watch tv in the bedroom when the other one is sleeping. Works well for us. Or, if watching something on the Roku, it comes with headphones you attach to the remote.

i got this thing awhile back but could never get it to work?

it said all you had to do was plug it into the TV and turn on your bluetooth speaker, but it didn't work for me.

I have this that I use to connect a Bluetooth speaker in the backyard...just hook it up to the audio out ports on the receiver.

I just googled to find this so have no recommendation, but it looks like this is what you're looking for.

AHH HA!
that's it

I just watched his video and realized why i could not get my bluetooth transmitted (pictured above) to work.
i need an audio in/out to a 3.5mm

ok so I think with a simple transmitter ($25 bucks at Best Buy) and that little speaker the guy posted in the other thread it will work.
