Made my first Google Wallet NFC purchase last night

I honestly never thought about using NFC for payments and forgot all about Google Wallet until the whole Apple Pay crap blew up on this board. Any who, I added my card in and there are some rewards programs already in there like Walgreen’s. I scanned my rewards barcode into the phone and all my info popped up!
So I went to Walgreens and bought two honey buns.
I waved my phone to make the payment and it didn’t work! I forgot I needed to have my screen on for it to recognize the device. Turned my screen on and it was all gravy baby after that

I think it's primed to take off, especially with the added security, but it will be interesting to see how long it takes. This has often taken a generation to change, my grand parents never used credit cards, my parents don't use the ATM.

I'll use it more often but I wanna see if that will count towards my 15 debit card transactions per month my Credit Union requires to get ATM refunds and the dividend.

I use it at the 7-11 when I remember. I've also used it at a Macy's before. I just forget I have it. It's pretty cool though.

yep. I'm not sure if it'll work though as the Visa debit card is a virtual MasterCard online and I had to set up a separate pin on Google Wallet.

This really needs to take off. Mobile payments are superior to credit card in every single way...security, ease of use, efficiency.
So ready for this. My wallet is ready.

went into the grocery store to grab some milk and pay through the express lane. Got behind an old lady paying with check... took FOREVER!!! (probably about 1 minute)...
