Mac Cleaner

My iMac has slowed down significantly for whatever reason over the last several months. I just updated to Sierra hoping for change and still slow.

Anyone with recommendations for how to clean it up to speed it up?

Swap the HD out for an SSD. It'll run faster than new.

ETA: oh, I use Clean My Mac regularly. It works as advertised.

Uninstall Java. Uninstall flash. Use Chrome if you need to use flash.

I just emptied cache on Safari - seems to be working much faster now
