I recently reinstalled adaway and nothing is being blocked. Upon inspection it appears the host below is down:

ht t p s: // hosts-file.net/ad_servers.txt

This seems like a critical host file:

Did this recently go down?

Can anyone hit that file I posted? Does anyone have the host file list handy they could email me?

Just use Block This apk.

Doesn't even require root and it blocks everything.

That's not doing anything for me. I see a blue start button that I can't click when I open it and everything still has ads.

I haven't noticed any issues with mine. I just checked for updates, and it only applied 2/3 hosts sources, with the one you listed probably being the issue. Not sure if there's a way to manually upload a list.

yep mine updated this morning to all 3. guess it was a temporary hiccup that mainly affected me since i uninstalled it yesterday of all days.

others already had those headers in their host file so the fact that URL was inaccessible went unnoticed by most people.
