Looking for a speaker to be used for outdoor tailgating and parties at the house. Can anyone recommend a certain model or maybe another brand. Also is the Eon a good speaker? Looking to spend around 300 bucks. Thanks

A friend has these that we use for tailgating. They are pretty good sound and quality wise. I think they are the 12". We have also used Pyle. They are a good bit cheaper and IMO don't sound as good and the quality seems lacking.

I have this one and it is great. A single charge last something like 12 hours. We used it on our last beach trip and we didn't have to charge it but once the entire trip.

I work for JBL's parent company, and am in the management team for JBL's division's Factory Service department.

Current generation Eon(s) are legit. Sound great, loud, good quality. I would stay away from older product second hand though. If you want to step up a notch, look at their PRX line, and if you are an OTer, look at the SRX line.

Which of these do you think is better? Not familiar with any of this, so this may even be old models.

Or if you can give a link to better ones. Thanks

I can get a DD67000 our of the factory as an employee for about $15-16k, give or take, but I'd be fired, then brought out back and shot if they ever found out I passed that along.

I personally prefer to wait for a scratch and dent employee auction. I got a pair of Revel Ultima Studio2(s) last year for about $350 apiece. That was my current deal of the century.
