Thinking about dropping AT&T for Sprint but I know their Network used to be garbage. I've seen them advertising that they have just about the same coverage as Verizon.

Anyone here use Sprint?

If you're in a large city or suburb you will be ok.. if not you will be out of luck.

ie.. baton rouge area, new Orleans, Lafayette, Covington, Mandeville ok

Port Vincent, franklinton, Washington parish, etc not ok

Their network coverage map shows good service as long as you're near an interstate. I'd really like to save the money but I'd hate to deal with a shitty network.

Can't say for sure in your area but up here it works great. You really have to be out in the sticks before it starts having issues.

I've had Sprint and wouldn't recommend it. There are rare occasions that I actually have decent coverage

DON'T DO IT!!!!
I changed from AT&T to sprint around Christmas and it was so drastically different, we changed back within a few weeks. If you are used to AT&T service you will hate sprint. Trust me it is not worth the savings.

My Sprint phone usually doesn't work at the Mall or Perkins Rowe. Decent at my house in Prarieville, but awful further into Ascension. It's free from work otherwise I would have tossed it in the garbage a long time ago

What kind of phone do you have? I usually have good service everywhere I go. I have a note 5..I drive from Gonzales to New Orleans, to Livonia, and to Alexandria and don't ever have problems..when going to New Orleans I go 3127 sometimes and don't have issues that way..usually streaming Spotify..I was getting 60 mbps download spread sitting in buffalo wild wings in Gonzales the other day..apparently they have installed micro cells around that area.

Sprint is hot garbage. If you're going to leave AT&T, Verizon is probably the best move but their prices spike outrageously. I've had one guy tell me he was paying almost $400 for his family to be on the unlimited plan.
