Recently found my old IPOD classic.

Had plugged into wall to charge to see if it still worked. For a week it wouldn't go to home screen.

Tonight, it powers up but none of my 15K songs were there.

You used to be able to take these and plug into any computer and download all their ITUNES music, videos, ETC. Can this still be done?

I use YOUTUBE on my phone to listen to music and it's not very often.

What do you gurus think I should do with this "classic" from 2005? Amazon sells used for about $60. I don't wanna get rid of it for that price.

We already know the answer to this.

Doing it again would just be a waste.

If you hardly ever listen to music, then sell it for whatever you can get for it. Otherwise, it's just a paper weight. I use mine to listen to music all the time when I fly. Battery lasts forever and saves my phone's battery.

Same here. I also use it in my car. Have a good chunk of my music library on it since its 160 gb. I really wish they remade them or at least made a 256 gb iPod Touch.

Yeah I would like a huge capacity one for the car. I could just throw everything on there and be done with it. I have an older nano in there now but it is just 8gb.

Still love my iPod Classic. I use it almost every day... especially in my car... it integrates pretty well with the Ford Touch system.

Yes, you can still use it as a portable drive. Yes, it still syncs with Apple iTunes.

And a battery charge lasts a long, long time.

The menu system is a bit clunky though. Wheeling through 5000 songs is bad enough... 15000 would be a royal pain.
