iPhone 8: Worth the wait?

My refurbished iPhone 6 is starting to have technical issues. The "phantom" phone (faulty digitizer) and the phone turns itself off on occasion. It's obviously due to the age of the phone.
Question is, should I put up with these glitches for the time and wait for the launch of the new iPhone, or will it be too long of a wait at the risk of my phone completely shorting out before it comes out?

Wait it out, if you don't care for the 8 then the other models will be cheaper than they are now.

Start backing it up more often in case it does fail. If it does fail, try using an old one for a couple weeks.
Best option is to wait until new one is released. You can either buy the new one or buy the same one you would buy now with a good discount since it is an "old" model.

Hopefully it will be better than this huge piece of shite samsung s8+.

The supply of the completely remodeled iPhone 8 is supposed to be very constrained possibly until next year, but I'd still wait if you can. There will be plenty of new 7s models available at launch. Plus a month from now the same money will get you a phone a generation newer.

Yeah I'm waiting to see what the deal is on the 8/pro/whatever they're going to call it.
FYI leaks appear to have pretty much firmed up what it'll be.
If the announcement is underwhelming or the delays are bad, I'll just get a 7s

It's only about 5 weeks away. Worth the wait, if for anything the price drop on current models.

I didn't see it mentioned, but the iPhone 8 is rumored to start at $1100 or so.
