iPhone 7 wouldn't connect calls this morning

Someone from work was trying to call me around 7:30 this morning. My phone kept ringing and when I would go to answer it, the call would never connect. I also was not able to make outgoing calls to this person. I thought perhaps they were just in an area with terrible coverage until I got a call from another person and the same thing happened.
I tried turning my wifi calling off and still nothing changed. I eventually turned my phone off and on again and it went back to working.
My carrier is Sprint, but I've never had this happen before. Anyone know what could cause this?

I have at&t and I received and update for that problem this morning .. hope that helps

I did the update this morning after this issue came up and it's supposed to fix the problem. Apple is really making me think long and hard about finally making the jump over to Android this time.
