iPhone 6 problem EDIT one wasn't the phone/Phone replaced

First I'll admit I'm a Apple believer and I really expect these flaws to be fixed but thus far my daughters 6 64 GB has 2 major problems:

1) There's a pixelated line perpendicular across the screen. Pretty noticeable.

2) The speakers don't work. It plays music through the headphones but won't play through the speakers. It does ring. This has to be a setting somewhere but I cannot find it.

Anyone know how to fix the headphone problems.
