IPhone 6 audio issue

Me and the wife got new iPhones last night. We don't seem to have an issue when we talk to other people but when we talk to each other the volume seems very low, even with the volume turned all the way up. We have both done a reset and turned off Bluetooth. Any help is appreciated

you probably have "DATA calling" on.
go to cellular, Enable LTE "DATA ONLY"
