Installing Ubuntu on HP Laptop

I primarily use my i7 desktop for work/hobby stuff but I always have a cheap-ish laptop I use and I've always dual booted windows and Ubuntu on the laptop. Just bought an HP Pavillion with AMD A-10 and Radeon 6 graphics......
Well come to find out, any Ubuntu version over 14.4 doesn't work with Amd/Radeon graphics. So, now I'm returning that laptop and getting another HP laptop, but this time with an i5 and intel graphics.
Just wondering if I will run into any problems installing the latest Ubuntu (17.04) on this machine?
