IMO best value for a kid's room is the 32" TLC Roku TV for like $160. Might not be cheaper but I think it's better and more elegant (you so fancy).

no because I can't control when they use that.

Also these are 5yo 32" Sammy's I inherited from an uncle and Walmart special Hisense tvs.

A fricken roku stick or fire stick. That was my point. Why would you by a device that does the same thing the roku and fire stick does, but requires your phone to work? Is the $15 you save that important?
I just don't get the point of it when you could get the two sticks that are vastly superior.

OK, now I think maybe there is something wrong with you. Here are the posts:

quote:

I have not simply because I would only use it for WatchESPN, and that's just not enough reason when I can either run a cord from my tablet, or just watch the games on my tablet.

quote:

wow so much easier. Netflix, Spotify, local cast, turning on cast screen and opening the camera app while you and the wife are being intimate

quote:

I don't use any of that.

Here's where you go cookkoo for coco puffs.

quote:

You don't watch movies or listen to music?

What do you use your tvs for?

Then you say you're waiting on me for something you never asked me and is not the subject of the thread:

well finally an answer.

so you do all your movie watching on cable?

that's got to be a pretty miserable viewing experience.

who's the poor now?

i have x1 and watch NOTHING on cable except live tv. if i'm watching a movie i'm firing up the HBO GO app or Netflix. can't stand comcast or their 'on demand' shite. rather stick bamboo shoots under my fingernails.

you can pick up a gen1 chromecast for $10 on ebay all day long.

i'm using a fireTV on my main tv which i like very much. i'm talking a 9yo and a 2yo who only know 'blippi' and 'barbie's pony adventure'.

again, this works VERY VERY well for 2 little kids; they don't need anything more than that.

Got it. You don't use any apps or services and cable meets 100% of your TV needs.

In your cave Chromecast wouldn't make sense.
