Does anyone else see their Apples freezing up when booting? It always happens when there's a big update. I have to boot into safe mode and do the update and restart again to get back to my login screen. I never saw this problem with Maverick.

Sounds like the problem is not with OS X but with something you have installed, then

I've seen the same thing happen on all the Mac computers with Yosemite at my place of work.

Nope. I'm running Betas on 2 different Macs so I update fairly frequently. Never had this problem once.

Well, sounds like a problem with a program that's been deployed to all of the computers at your place of work then

I have had no problems with Yosemite myself

Has 8GB ram and 512 HDD

That is not the problem. There's been no programs deployed to all of them. It hangs on Mac OS updates.

Yosemite has a ton of problems, so yeah. I haven't seen this one though. I had the startup issue for awhile.

ETA: And currently the wifi shut off issue.

If you're running Mcafee that's your problem. Caused my Mac to do the exact same thing. Even the Genius Bar could not tell me what was going on.

Same reason you're gonna buy this bottle of snake oil for $10,000. It cures EVERYTHING.
