phoneview

edited to add: read that it wasnt being recognized as i hit enter...no idea.

maybe if you have a backup, restore the phone from backup, then try to use phoneview or something to get the things off

If you had iCloud setup they should be there.

ETA: If not, try to download the latest iTunes and see if it will recognize the phone.

i dont know why the shattered screen would change whether the computer recognized it.
After an lsu game i found one in the middle of the road and it had been run over a few times. it recognized it, but eventually had to take the sim to att to find the owner.

All that to say, maybe something else got damaged more than the screen?

If you have a backup, you could always restore a new phone from that backup and your pics should be there

You can plug it into your computer and just go find them in the files that they are stored in.
