How can I hide all these wires?

Cable & electrical outlets are above a built in shelf in my living room. HDMI comes out at the same place. I've got a cable box, Apple TV and an HDMI coupler that need to be visible but I would like to come up with a solution to hide the wires. The only thing I can come up with is a color matched wooden false wall to cover them.
Any ideas? Pictures of your setups?

can you put them in a wicker box? my remote control works through the covers so maybe the signal will go through wicker?

Interedesting. I'll test it out on a basket I've got. Thanks.

1/4" plywood false back. I'm always amazed when people don't do it more. cut a piece of plywood to fit inside, paint whatever color matches and then drill out an 1" to 1 1/2" hole for your wires to run out of.

Yeah, but then you have to groove that thing to match the painted paneling behind it or it will stand out from the other shelf spaces like a sore thumb.

build a small box with no back on it to put your cable box on it paint it if you like but then you can stuff all the wires into the box but it looks like a stand for your cable box or you could build another shelf just above the other one use a filler board on the front, but leave a gap at the back and stuff it all in the hollow shelf.
zip tie it all together to tighten it up befor your start stuffing cutting a false back can be difficult and it wont trim out very well but you could use a spacer block to keep it off the back of the cabinet evenly and attach it with velcro.

Get some zip ties/ tie wraps and roll the cables up nice and neat and zip them.
