Yes but not weatherproof need to be under porch or something I have mine outside under front and back porches with no problems

Ah I see. I looked it up after posting and it says they aren't weatherproof yet. They'd be under cover, but it still concerns me with the humidity and such impacting the life of the cameras.

Arlo seems to fit my needs more. For someone that has arlo, if I put them under my patio and carport which is high traffic/motion areas, how would I manage to not have the batteries die every week because of the motion?

I set my motion to pick up at 80/100..It definitely pics up cars going by, so I may knock it back some...Really just a trial and error thing...

the custom rule setting is your friend. Mine does not pick up cars driving down the street but will pick up a squirrel running past it

Yea the problem is I want it mainly for night time surveillance of my patio and truck. However, I spend a lot of time on the patio so it'll get motion for hours every day. I guess it'll just take some tinkering. Would be ideal if it worked with smartthings or something like that and only recorded if the house was armed.
