I'm thinking about ordering and installing a SimpliSafe system. I'm just looking to get anyone else's opinions or advice on a SimpliSafe system or any other system that they use and prefer. I had an ADT system, but the monitoring costs got out of control. Thanks

I should have clarified. I'm not looking for a camera system. I already have m own installed. I want a home alarm system that will also be monitored. I want door entry sensors and fire/smoke/carbon monoxide detection to be monitored. I'd like a smart system that I can install myself and control through some sort of smart home integration or iphone app.

ok, I just educated myself a little and I'll look into that some more. Looks like some pretty solid equipment.

It's easy to install. It's pretty basic looking and simple system. No complaints on my end. I have heard you can link with home automation but we haven't done that.

I have SimpliSafe. Love it. No contract. Easy to install yourself. Monthly rate is $15.00 or if you want to have internet capabilities add $10.00 a month. If you get in a hurry and forget to set it, you can arm it with the app or on the website after signing in. Planning on adding the camera and Nest later on.

Oh, they have a quick response time. Anytime mine has accidentally been triggered, they have called within 10 seconds.

The only issue I had was the initial base monitor I got had some kind of chip in that works better in another area. It kept giving me a "No link to dispatch" message. They sent me a Verizon board which I was able to install myself and it has worked perfect since then.
