Having issues with Verizon in Baton Rouge

I have an iphone 5 on Verizon. I've had it for a little over 1 year and had zero issues until the past two weeks. Lately my phone stays on "extended" and I've had a tough time calling out and sending texts.
Anybody with Verizon in Baton Rouge experiencing issues?

My phone was stuck on 3G yesterday, so I put it in airplane mode, then out and it connected back to 4G. Not an iphone, but you may give it a shot.
