You have managed to simultaneously cripple 3 computers in my household by invasively forcing your shite new software down our throats. My computer has worked better when it has been infected by several viruses. How is this an upgrade? And how can you force your software on us? I've spent the last 4 hrs fricking around with this bullshite and haven't gotten anywhere. Suck a big one Bill Gates

Just wait until they start smashing ads into your new operating system.

I keep seeing people say this. He hasn't been CEO of Microsoft since 2000 and hasn't been involved in any day to day stuff for a decade.

I'm a windows fan. Hell, I even loved windows 8...8 for god's sake.

And even I think the sneaky forced upload of windows 10 is the doucheiest thing they have done to date.

Most, NOT ALL, but most folks using 10 have loved it. It has better word of mouth than any release. 7 wasn't loved until it cooked a bit. Windows 10 has plenty of love and they go and destroy that with the annoying pop up and now sneakily adding 10 to automatic updates.

Stupid. I would fire every person involved with that decision.

Bunch of crybabies everywhere. This wasn't some kind of big secret; Microsoft came out and said that this is how they were rolling out Windows 10; completely free to as many devices as possible. They said this for months.

There's ways to get around it, you can find guides online. You can even roll back to your previous version of Windows which is a feature built into the OS.

I have it on my home computer and have had zero issues with it. My issue is when they forced it on my work computer and since has rendered parts of my AutoCad 2016 useless. I cant print to our big plotter and I can no longer convert a DWG file to PDF. I read this was an issue a while back and was the sole reason I did not upgrade to 10. I have a feeling now Im stuck having to buy a subscription to Autodesk just to get a couple patches when they come out.

TigerinATL mentioned this helpfulness in the other thread:

I had one do it a few months back and a friends updated over the weekend as well. He mentioned that Windows 10 is now considered a recommended update. LINK / Go into Windows Update and uncheck the Install Recommended Updates check box.
