Firestick won't load home screen

The only way I can fix this is if I unplug the internet and the firestick. Is there a easier way to fix this? I don't want to do this Everytime I use the firestick. I really don't want to do factory reset.

I have had my Fire Tv for about two months and it has done this about three times. I just unplug it from the outlet for about 20 seconds. I started doing a restart a couple times a week and it's been fine.

if its due to KODI you will get that problem because the cache is full or its being strained which is why you want to put it on a box. If its a standard stick with no kodi, you might have gotten a bad stick.

I agree. If you use Kodi you need to clear the cache once a week or so. Was a real pain on the stick.

Also, amazon did an update to both. Its a new layout that might be causing some strain or hangup.

Firestick is close to a year old and Ill clean the cache to see if that helps. I do have Kodi installed.

could be what you have installed as addons in kodi. they can hang the stick up
