HELP! Im not very tech savvy, and I KNOW this has been discussed a lot, but im looking to choose between the 3 and want to get everyones opinion. Sense im not the most tech savvy, looking for ease of use and best features.

Im looking to decide between one of these smaller options or the TV option (Amazon Fire TV or Roku TV).

I had an apple TV at my old house (it was my roommates) and i liked it but I didnt like how slow it was to transition through screens.

TIA

Roku 3. I have three of them and even my grandma can use them.

I just got a firestick and like it, if you get one bookmark this link so you can load xbmc on it. I wasn't very familiar with it until reading through this page that someone posted yesterday, but after reading up on it it's pretty cool.

I don't think you can load it on the others, but I am no expert so someone else may know better.

I just got a Roku stick yesterday, have not played with it much, but I was really hoping to be able to load XBMC on it.

Not going to happen. You may be able to get Plex though. I know you can on the regular Rokus.

If you want XBMC your best bet is either the Amazon Fire TV/Stick or a jailbroken Apple TV.

do not get an appletv2 over an amazon firetv for xbmc. in fact, if you're serious about getting the firestick for the main purpose of xbmc, i'd suggest springing for the firetv box and not looking back. i picked one up when they were on sale for $70 on cyber monday and have been incredibly happy with its performance. you can buy an airplay app for $3 that works flawlessly. after i did that, i don't miss a thing about the ATV2. xbmc flies on the firetv. it's literally night and day.

I have a roku stick and it definitely has plex. I can't say enough about how easy to use the Roku stick has proven to be. Partnered with Plex, it took less than a day to set up and runs perfect.

Could you recommend some channels for Plex. I installed the plug-in for "unauthorized" channels. Looks like a lot of content to sift through.

do it. there's literally nothing to lose. if you don't like it, just uninstall it.

if you do the TVMC install, lots of plug-ins (apps) will already be installed automatically. try Genesis, especially the search feature.

just about any tv show or movie ever made, for starters. if you miss a new episode of a tv show, check back the next day and it'll probably be there. it's a DVR killer. i have yet to search for something it couldn't find.

tell me more about this. i obviously don't get how XBMC/kodi provides access you wouldn't get through normal torrent downloading on your own.

It's instant streaming access instead of having to download the content. Also access to live sporting events and TV shows as well.

It's like the Plex unsupported channels on steroids... like Laron Landry steroids.

The only thing I don't understand well enough is the ability to be tracked. It's probably not as safe as private channels, but safer than Pirate Bay. Maybe someone smarter than me can explain it. - Thx again for the invite

Yes.
I messed around with it a little more last night. Still don't have everything down yet, but I love it so far.
Working on getting PseudoTV Live set up tonight if anyone has any pointers or is it pretty straight forward?

BitTorrent, Ice Films, G2G.fm, LetMe Watch, Movies 4k

some are better than others

it's probably not any different than that. i'm not techy enough to really know the difference, to be honest. i've never torrent-ed, and the xbmc thing is pretty new to me.
