OnePlus X - $250
Sounds like a great way to try a non-Nexus device for a few months. You could always go back to the Nexus if you don't like the OnePlus X.

Has anyone seen a one+2 yet, my wife has a 1 month old LG G4 that the charging port went out on already, so they are sending her a NIB G4. We are thinking of selling it and getting something else, evaluating a one+2 or motoX pure

Great phone. The custom ROMs are starting to pop up every week, and the devs are updating every week or so. There are several kernels and profiles which can get even better battery life or performance. I very much recommend this phone (with TruPureXMM ROM).

dont hate but i'm going to get a nexus 6 
the reason is i cant find a good deal on a 5x for less than $290 and i can get a N6 'near mint' for $190.
that's $100 i can put to a better phone in the fall if necessary and i'm getting old so the BIG screen is appealing to me.
not even close to considering a 6p right now so its off to N6 land i go.

I'm looking for a Nexus 6 myself. Bought one for $200 on Black Friday but wound up giving it to someone as a gift. Waiting to see if any deals like that come back up.

N6 was much too bulky for me. The screen was great, but battery and usability is terrible.
If you need to buy now and want to stay around $200, go with a MotoX Pure. Personally rather the 3rd gen MotoX the SO has over the N5X.

$150 MiB moto x pure! Hard to compete with that price. Thanks for the advice. Now I have a larger budget in the fall when the new devices come out.

I really prefer the smaller phones. The 6 inch ones are just too big to comfortably use with one hand and I've got larger than average hands.
5X is very light weight which I also like. The display on the Nexus 6 was fantastic though.

Good to know but I have had my G4 for 6 months and have dropped it 3 times and no problem.

I ended up blowing my budget and getting the wife a S6 edge plus, it is really nice though.
