Okay gurus...using the two tables A1:B5 and A7:E13, how can I validate the converted amounts in E16:E21? Ultimately, I need to have formulas in K16:K21 that validate E16:E21. I tried a variety of vlookups and index match formulas to no avail. Any help is appreciated.

Is E16:E21 a formula or is someone typing in a constant?

It's supposed to be calculated based on the above. It's incorrect.

I think you need to nest some vlookups. In K16 try:

=J16*vlookup(vlookup(H16,$B$8:$E$13,4,False),$A$2:$B$5,2,False)

Click on help in Excel and type in data validation. It will give you step by step on how to do a copy data validation into another cell.

Maybe that will help you.

What exactly are you trying to do? Is this a made up representative scenario, or real?

Your entire table of A16:E21 is a copy from A8:A13, with one extra column for "Converted Amount". This converted amount can be done with just a formula using a vlookup to find the conversion rate. No validation required.
