Upgraded my wife's phone...had her backup to icloud. Is that all thats necessary for when the new phone comes in? All contacts, photos, apps were handled? Tia...Im an android user.

As long as you checked everything to sync on iCloud you're good. It should default to backup everything.

What all is she backing up? How much iCloud storage does she have?
I ask because I can't backup to iCloud due to storage limitations. Been trying to determine if I'm missing something or not. I don't plug into the computer very often.

Everything except for music that wasn't purchased through iTunes. You would have to sync it again.

I don't know if this will help you, but I use iCloud backup just for my contacts and calendars and maybe some things that I need if my phone went down. I make it a point to do a hard copy backup to a computer fairly often because of the horror stories I hear about people losing everything.
Before getting a new device I also make a hard copy backup right before so in case of emergency I can restore everything to the new device. It gives me some piece of mind, but I haven't had to use it yet.
