On May 24th, DJI will hold a VIP event in New York releasing a new mini drone. With a brand-new promotional video out and about, it is for certain that we will see something along the lines of a DJI Mavic “mini-me”.

Damn I was planning on getting a Phantom 3 Standard later this year due to price and limited use but this might flip the script.

Yeah, if the obstacle avoidance is worth anything it will be a big upgrade over the 3 Standard.

This thing is waaay advanced for what I need, but theres no way you can pass up that amount of technology for the price.

A P3 Standard would suit me just fine, I just worry about future software support, etc.

Casey Neisat just posted a review of a prototype DJI gave him to test. Not a full on 100% tech review but it looks impressive.

This thread was worth it just to find out that douche Casey is under investigation by the FAA.

Nice to see that the FAA shows some signs of life regarding drone enforcement.

Kind of disappointed in the flight time and max distance from controller. Also, no 4K video.

Planning to stick with the P3S a little while longer before upgrading to the Mavic.
