Destroyed phone

I have AT&T's mobile protection plan and have had it for over a year. I got a brand new iphone 7 three days ago, and I ran over it with my truck (on accident). Everything I read is that I have to make a claim online.. I rather try and replace the phone today. Has anyone made claims at an AT&T store? If so what can I expect to get in return?
Any advice or experience is appreciated.

Yeah, sure it was an accident. You probably did it for shits and giggles just to see what would happen.

How in the hell do you manage to run over your phone?

My wife ran over my GoPro two days ago. Left it sitting on her rear bumper. Was playing with my kids outside and forgot about it. Couple hours later she leaves to go to the grocery store and I guess it rattled off as she was backing out of the driveway and backed over it.
The case and jaw clamp are shot, but the camera itself still works. The side button got stuck in so wifi was cycling on and off, but I popped it back out with a pocket knife.

Essentially what I did. Stopped on side of the road to check the ratchet strap I had on one of my bikes. It had popped... I used the phone as a flashlight, set it on the top of the tailgate to light the area. Got about 100 feet down the road and realized what happened. I wasn't going no more than 15, so I'm assuming the trailer tires hit it.

I don't exactly know the answer, but I do know that if you're in Baton Rouge you'll have to go to the ATT shop on Perkins, right by Essen next to the PBS studio. That's the only one that I know of that handles repairs and such. I don't think you can just walk into a regular ATT store and walk out with a new phone. I had an issue with a phone, probably 5 years ago and had to go there. They gave me a new phone.

If you paid for it with a credit card. You may have coverage for a replacement.

Bought an LG G3 two years ago. dropped it and shattered it 3 days later.
Filed an online claim since we had insurance, and another one came in the mail a few days later.

I just made a claim on mine and it took 2 days to get the replacement. I believe its another company that handles it so I dont think an AT&T store can replace it.
