Comparison Huawei honor x5 or Nexus 5

Which phone is the best buy?
The Nexus is 199.00 through 4/3
The Huawei is 169.00 through Amazon warehouse.
I'm buying a new phone I just want to know which is the best buy.

I assume you mean the Nexus 5X. If so that one without question.

Ok thank you. It looked like they were comparable. By the time it's all said and done the Nexus is going to be about 100 dollars more

If all things are equal spec wise, there's a few factors you should look at. First how long will you keep the phone? If it's ~1 year or less then that can favor the Honor X5. If you might go over that time frame then the Nexus for sure. How important is the latest version of Android to you? If the answer is "Very" then Nexus, if not that leans towards the Honor 5x. Basically that extra money will keep you up to date faster and longer, but if you will be getting another phone in a year or the latest version of Android isn't THAT important to you then save a few dollars.

I just want a decent phone. I have an s4 active which I loved but was starting to give me trouble. I bought an Asus at best buy but I find it to be slow and for some reason won't download the apps that I want. I want to save as much money as I can. The Nexus is on special through Google and you have to sign with their service. So their is another 50 dollars added to the cost of the phone. I can get the Huawei for 170. The Nexus will be 250

Something else to consider is if you ever decide to root, the dev community is much larger for the Nexus. Seeing that you have an S4, it seems that you may keep the phone for a while so in that case go with the Nexus. If that's not the case and you feel that an upgrade is in your not too distant future than Honor X5. They both are good phones today and for the next year or so. The Nexus will be better over time and have better resale value.

Not sure what root is or dev. I'm rough on phones but will use it as long as it works. I'm sadly disappointed with this Asus although for the money no other phone touches it
