So AT&T has been my service provider for 10 years. We just moved back to Baton Rouge and after weighing my options I decided to give u-verse a shot, the guy really sold me on them.

Well I get into town and get settled in yesterday, I have a few issues so I call technical support. Issue gets resolved with no problem, but I get informed that only two of my receivers can be moved around, I was told I will have three. They tell me I'd have to pay another 50 plus an extra 9 dollars a month. I say absolutely not, plus I bring up how I was shorted an extender I was suppose to get.

Long story short the rep said I was belittling him and trying to get a reaction from him when I asked what type of policy calls for a business to offer incentives and then don't deliver. I never got rude or ugly with him, but he did with me. If 50 dollars and following through on your offer is worth losing a 10 year customer then so be it.

Yeah I'm mad, calling Verizon and Cox in the morning.

I thought I cancelled my att internet last month. Did it all without issue.

Got an email yesterday saying my account was overdue. Turns out they didn't cancel it at all.

They are a bunch of dumbasses.

They are absolutely atrocious here in Baton Rouge. Once I'm done with this contract, I will never use them again. The whole experience has been miserable. Right now, I had to place my 6th service call in the 10 months I've had them - and I supposedly have the top notch service they offer.

All the companies are the same now. They know it is a pain in the arse to switch so they slowly increase the price, and if you complain they back off for a short time. Then the upward climb continues until you cancel.

Once you cancel and 90 days pass, they offer you great pricing again because they can report you as a new subscriber.

You basically have to switch services every few years to not get ripped off, and that is only if you have competition.

Save your breath... If you didn't like the U-Verse experience because of a few issues... then you'll stab yourself in the face with a fork after a few months with Cox.

Look into DirecTV... if you have view of the SW sky? That's the best bet.

For wireless T-Mobile has done the opposite. Every year my plan gets cheaper and better.

Owned by AT&T now. He could get the same rep on the phone in a few weeks!

They've gotten so big they don't even care anymore. Follow through on your end is all you can do. I did it too. Although, I do still have Directv but I had that long before AT&T bought them and I like it.

Had ATT phone since forever. Switched to Verizon last year and save about 50+ dollars a month.

Had UVerse for 6+ years. Just switched to Xfinity and couldn't be happier. Also paying 70-80 dollars less right now.

I thought AT&T and U-verse were the same company.

I have been using at&t for my cell phone service. U-Verse is their internet and cable.

They are the same company. When I moved back to Baton Rouge, I figured I would go with cox at first, but after talking to them I decided to give U-Verse a shot.

Big mistake on my part.

Uverse is cheaper (at least at first), but the customer service and quality of service is putrid. Cox has to be better.

Uverse is a decent product made bad by AT&T. But honestly, I have hard time believing it can be any worse than Cox, TW, Charter or Comcast.

Can't wait to drop them when Google arrives.

I think all the people complaining about Cox have not had to deal with the others.

Yall are a bunch of pussies. If I've ever had any issues with att, they've helped me out even if i was pissed, gave them a hard time, etc. Now, qith them buying Directv, the unlimited plans they offer to directv/att cellular customers is legit. My directv/att cellular/cox internet setup has been flawless and level on prices.

170 per month for directv (1 genie/ 7 minis/hd)

171 per month for att (3 phones full unlimited web/talk/text)

65 per month for cox premium internet

So, the people who stopped giving their money to a company that treats customers like shite are a bunch of pussies, and the guy paying them $350/month is not? And I don't even think you're getting a particularly good deal. What kind of TV package do you have? How bad are you getting fricked on equipment lease fees? It looks like real bad, no way a TV package should cost $170/month no matter how many TVs you want to watch on. And T-Mobile will give you the same 3-line unlimited deal for the same money +/- $10 or so, and they won't even frick you on your TV plan in the meantime.

The hands off capitalist free market approach has failed with communications companies.

It's time for some Bernie Sanders style regulation of their asses. The pendulum has swung about as far as society should have to tolerate.

The problem is that they own Congress, so nothing will happen. We are fricked.

AT&T is trash. My U-Verse always went out and they could never fix the problem. But they made sure they charged me top dollar for everything.
