I don't know. I know it has worked for a while now, but I think (or hope) that eventually trapping disgruntled users will be less profitable than attracting and keeping happy users by offering a superior product and value.

My bet is it will take another EU action. Lol

Typical douche, normal people only know Intel's marketing BS, it's not their fault. Apple users drop $1800 on a laptop, whereas someone going to Walmart or Best Buy in 2020 just buys what is available that is usually cheap, like a POS Windows computer for under $300. Shocking that performance sucks when there is a HDD, 4GB of RAM that is shared with integrated video. Shocking I tell you.

The notifications, extensions, and bloatware that manufacturers install is not the fault of Microsoft. Do posters understand what clicking "allow notifications" in browsers means? Or what installing "price savings app" mean? Or that Hulu is really an Edge application on windows?

They don't know. You chalk this stuff up to Windows/MacOS, but it really comes down to if someone is allowed to sell 3rd party hardware (only Apple sells Apple, many manufacturers sell Windows devices.)

We're all happy you can avoid breaking your computer. While you're at it, explain why the bullshite AppleTV app crashes my computer, and resets the video driver, about every 90 minutes, with 64GB of RAM. Yet, watching AppleTV through Edge ( ) it doesn't do the same. Jobs would be pissed. You seem to carry Windows ME or WFW 3.11 angst. Remember, first graders knew how to use Macs from the 80s, and iOS devices with little instructions. That doesn't mean they're good for us big brains.

you may be right on that, but you also said it only sucks for android users. I completely disagree. Apple is fricking over their own users as well by not allowing the two systems to play nice.

No this is incorrect. The 4 apple users caused this.

It very well may. I think I've read it's not as big of a deal over there though because no one uses traditional texting apps but instead things like whatsapp and telegram so unfortunately it may not be as big of a deal as the usb-c issue was.

It's not really that big of a deal for younger generation here too, because they use things like snapchat, discord, insta and such. As time goes on, not as many people will use traditional texting and it won't matter.

Yeah it's mostly with my parents, grandparents, and older family friends I go on trips with that the issue arises for me.

No, the capabilities of the machine were called out by another user. I was just providing reference data.

There was one Android user in my dude group. Another one of the guys bought the Android user an iPhone, TWICE, because that lone user "caused" text chains to shite the bed, pictures or not. He finally switched to iOS a couple of months ago. He's a Chalmatian, which explains why he was on Android for so long

I have used Android since Windows became useless. I have never had issues with text groups, even if I am the only one.

It's when Apple users swap to android is when it gets wonky. It's technically apple's fault, however, android/google/samsung, etc haven't done shite to really improve sms for the last 25years either. They're not innocent.

What were they to do besides continue urging the carriers to move to RCS and in the meantime throw shite at the wall to see what sticks? Google has never had any control at all over how cell networks work. It's entirely the fault of the carriers and their desire to milk every last cent out of sms and delay innovation as long as possible.

Yes, that’s why I know it would take something of tremendous advancement that would put the others on their heels for you to even consider switching back lol
