Bulging capacitor replacement... Who would do this?

So I have a Samsung POS tv that turns off and on while watching and from my googleMD diagnosis it seems the concensus is a bulging capacitor. The videos make it seem pretty simple, but I don't have any of those tools and what rather just pay to get it replaced that spend a bunch on tools that I won't ever use again.
So my question, who works on TVs these days? And has anybody every had a similar problem?
I avoided buying Samsung forever and this is why. I have an 8 year old Sony that has a better picture and zero issues compared to this 2 year old POS.

I had the same issue. There was a local (to me) electronics / appliance repair place that changed mine. They put in larger capacitors, too.
I bought the TV from Best Buy and Geek Squad would have come out and fixed it. But, the other place came from a recommendation. So, I went with them.

No. Panhandle of FL.
But, call Geek Squad. They will come to your house. something like $50 charge that goes toward repair if you choose to have them do it.
ETA: Google "TV repair near me". If you are in BR, i'd guess there are a number of places. The repair is not very difficult (for those that do this kinda thing). So, any place should be able to help

I'be never used geek squad, but they've always struck me as kind of a ripoff for some reason.
I'll try to find a local shop first. Thanks.
It's sad, but when something like this breaks my first thought is to just buy a new one. Hopefully this is a cheap fix.

It is actually pretty easy to do. Can you solder? If you can then you can fix it. I fixed mine for like $13. I replaced 4 large caps. One had actually busted and white smoke came pouring out the back of my TV.

Just do it yourself. You can get a kit off amazon that includes the capacitor plus the soldering iron and other tools for$30. I fixed a vizio plasma that had the same problem, super easy if you have even minor technical skill.

Holy shite! I guess I better take care of this.

If you do decide to fix it yourself, make sure you get some solder wicks to remove the old solder. I had to order my capacitors online from some place in Florida. Like one of the posters said above, they might have kits now for one stop shopping.

Meh. The last Sony I bought died in 6 months. Never had any issue with Samsung.
The point is they all have issues sometimes.

Sherwood Magnavox is the authorized Samsung repair dealer. They do great work, and have been in business for 40 years. They fixed mine, and I have not had any problems.

That is one of the normal causes but it could also be the wifi adapter if you have one of a handful of models or the ribbon cable could be an issue.
Most problems are the caps though.

If not wanting to deal with soldering new caps on, could you just replace the board? More expansive, but effectively just removing a few screws and connectors.
The board on my Samsung went out after a lightning strike. Besides diagnosing which board had failed, the actual repair looked incredibly easy.
