I had the N problem for a while. Went away. Turns out when I started watching how I typed, I had a bad habit of holding the N key down to long.

Bluetooth I can't help ya. My Plantronics Voyager Legend and JBL Charge speaker work fine on it.

I hate the interface, I hate the gestures, the thing never seems to work like it should. I would have kept a BB if I could put the old 9930 system on one of the new devices

Well, if you don't like gestures of any kind then then BB10 is obviously not for you. I find it very smooth and efficient. Multitasking is great and the capacitive keyboard on my Passport is amazing with things like flicking the correct word/phrase into place.

New high res shots of the upcoming slider running Android. LINK

The picture with active frames makes it appear like it's a strange mix of BB10 annd Android.

Yeah but will they market the damn thing? That has been the problem. They turn out two good phones and then just let them wither on the vine.

Sony has the same problem. They make great phones but you never hear of them. LG used to be like that a before the LG3 came out.

I wonder why BB doesn't make phones with different OS options. Like HTC...You can buy their phones with windows or android. Seems like it would be a good idea for more manufactures to start doing.

I hope that's what they have in mind. A BB10 phone for government and enterprise, a Android phone for the consumer market.

They need the carrier's help to push the phones and

1. The carriers have Apple quotoas
2. BB doesn't have the money for a major marketing campaign and
3. BB REALLY burned the carriers in years past.

True, but they have their own following. No matter how much something is pushed, a person still has preferences.

More leaks and proof that BlackBerry's future looks to be Android.

quote:

As for the software experience, this device seems to stick very closely to vanilla Android, with some added BlackBerry features thrown in. For instance, our anonymous tipster tells us there will be keyboard shortcuts available for creating quick tasks and a few others. As you can see from the third image below, there also looks to be some software shortcuts when swiping up from the home button. Aside from the normal Google Now shortcut, you’ll also be able to perform a quick local search and create a new message with ease.

As you can see from the first photo attached below, BlackBerry is making it easy for users to add communications shortcuts for composing new emails, BBM messages, texts and more. You’ll also easily be able to add new calendar events, schedule meetings and see the current day’s agenda right from your home screen. This should come as no surprise, as BlackBerry has always put a big focus on productivity.

You are asking the big question. I think it will be Android with a bb10 skin such as the Hub and other features.

BB has something Google wants, security. So BB probably has some leverage, u nlike HTC and other Android phone makers.
