Do you have an antenna? I believe all games will be on ABC

No. My current tv is a Samsung KS8000. Could I buy one at Best Buy and just plug it into my tv and it would work? Can't be that easy right lol?

tvfool dot com

type in your address and see how far away you are from the tower

if within 40ish miles, most of the indoor antennas at best buy should work

I put in my address and this came up, can someone tell me if the antenna would probably work looking at these results?

Yes. My parents live 20 miles south of you and get crystal clear ABC picture. I installed the antenna in the attic pointing north, though. You could try just setting up an antenna where you normally watch TV, but you may have to set it up towards a north window.

Thanks VT, any recommendations on a good antenna to buy (at Best Buy, Walmart, etc.) that won't break the bank? Also, what does it plug into?

The antenna will plug into your TV on the back. Should have a coaxial cable connection.

The antenna itself doesn't require power.

You need to research your TV and see if it actually has a tuner built into it. Vizio for sure stopped making TVs with tuners, so it's something to look for.

As far as the Antenna to use.. I made mine. I ordered a transformer off of Amazon for $3-$4 dollars and attached it to a coat hanger, then mounted it to some wood I put together that stood up. If you want it to look more cosmetically pleasing, an indoor MOHU should do the trick.

This is what the tv list for "video source capability":

- tuner receives over-the-air HDTV broadcasts (antenna required)
- QAM cable TV tuner (subscription required to receive cable channels)

So, I'm assuming an antenna should work? How about the one below? Seems like it has good reviews.

Mohu Leaf 30 Indoor HDTV Antenna

You're good to go, then.

That antenna should work. But like I said.. it really depends on if you need to install it facing out of a north window or not. You may be close enough because you're right by Lafayette. CBS will likely be your biggest issue.
