Best drawing tablet these days? (Mac)

I used to have a decent Wacom... but gave it to a girl years ago because she was getting into Graphic Design...

I haven't looked in awhile and an opportunity has presented itself that it might make sense for me to invest.

I'm not looking for the ~$300 models or anything... just something that will get the job done better than a fricking mouse..

I'm looking for a way to draw on a projector, any ideas.

Like the old school projector with the clear paper that you could draw on. How do I do this on a MacBook and project on the wall ?

Some kind of Wacom tablet and an Apple TV.

No, I know very little about them other than all of the design pros I've worked with use them and say that nothing else comes close. They probably use the very expensive ones, though.
