Ok so my plan on cable cutting isn't going 100% to plan. My appletv has all the apps like ESPN, free form, cnn, hgtv, food network, etc that I should get with a slingtv subscription.
However, when I go to sign in under those individual apps, slingtv is not an option. There currently is no slingtv native app so anyone got any other ideas? The irony is ESPN allows slingtv as a valid login provider, the others do not.

Guess I could get a new roku but kinda don't want to. Anyone else got slingtv with appletv?

They don't have an app for Apple TV. They may still be giving a free firetv stick or roku stick if you prepay three months though. Get the fire stick and install kodi on it.

Never done the kodi thing and it seems hectic to do and maintain. I like simple.

Sling tv sucks and dish is in big trouble. Stock down 70% in one year and being sued for 25 billion for calling people illegally

I've had Sling for two months and love it. Just get a Roku 2, plug in with an Ethernet cable, and you're good to go.

If you have an iPhone, download the app on it and mirror to the appletv.

Yea, that's what I've been doing as my workaround but it's less than ideal. You have to mirror from your iphone so if you want to watch a movie or a 1 hr long TV show, better get a charger. Also, better not get a phone call during that time either.

It's just kinda cumbersome compared to just having a native AppleTV application. OR apps like HGTV just having SLINGTV as a valid TV Service Provider for me to sign in on and use the app with.
