Apple Watch to Reportedly Start at $500 for Stainless Steel, $4,000 for Gold

So the $350 starting price that Apple announced in the Keynote is for the Aluminum model I guess. I just don't see myself buying one. There is too much information overload and too many distractions already in life. Now you want another one attached permanently to your wrist? That's why I think fitness trackers will always have a market for people who don't want notifications interrupting them all day, but can still gather valuable data to monitor your health and fitness.

When we get around to making watches that look like the mock ups people have done, and they're compatible with a lot of different devices, then I might get interested.

Why would anyone ever want an iPad? I already own a desktop and a laptop. It's a tweener device that is the worst of both worlds and the best of neither...

I don't think they are at all, at least not anytime soon, and Ive is crazy if he thinks they are.
On the other hand sooner or later everyone is going to have some brand of smart watch, and the Swiss etc. have to be nervous about that. There's only room for one on your wrist.
