How is what Apple did any different from carriers and others installing bloatware on Android devices?

You really think the two are comparable?

Would you have the same reaction if Apple pushed some rap or country music album, which is not everybody's cup of tea, to your device? How do you assume U2 is universally liked by everyone?

Yes, I would have had the same reaction. I don't assume U2 is universally liked by everyone because I myself don't care for them. Even without the tool it was easy to delete, unlike your bloatware analogy. Just swipe to the left and delete.

It weighed in at 111 MB, or roughly 22 pictures with the iPhone camera.

lol. I call it like I see it. The keynote stream was embarrassing. Not being able to handle the preorders was embarrassing. Giving every iTunes user a free album does not deserve a backlash.

Yeah, this isn't anything like that at all....because nobody asked for this U2 album. It was just pushed to people whether they wanted it or not.

Bitch didn't ask for a Lexus SUV either.

They shouldn't have done an automatic download in the first place.

The album blows goats. I'm ashamed it has to touch Awesome Mix Vol. 1

Who cares if it's free, doesn't mean I want it on my phone. Bet if this were a Kanye album a lot you saying "but but it's free" would be signing a different tune.

I would swipe to delete and look for a way to permanently remove the album from my purchased songs.

I wouldn't pitch a damn hissy fit about it.

ETA: and I own a couple Kayne songs, as well as country and U2
