I have a Canon low end wireless all in one from a few years back that I'm pretty happy with. Better than the HPs I kept cycling through.

If high quality photo printing is required, try the Canon Pixma MG7720. It costs a bit more than the average printer but can give you acceptable photo printing, too.

**I have tried this printer, myself, btw, but I use the Canon MX340 for everyday printing and the Pixma Pro-10 for color photo printing.

I purchased an Epson WorkForce WF-7610 a couple of months ago. It might be overkill for what you're looking for, because I was specifically looking for a printer that would do wide format printing and copying (11x17). It also has a 2-sided auto-feeder for copy/scan/fax and auto-duplex printing. My only complaint is that auto-duplex printing seems to have only one quality preset that looks like it splits one page's worth of ink into two.

I have a workforce 5xxx, and it has been fine (other than refills). I have no problems printing from any laptop or my phone

Whatever you get, make sure you print at least weekly, otherwise the ink will dry up and clog it. It's impossible to find anyone to repair them because that costs more than replacing it.

I've had HP printers for my one man office for years.

HP OfficeJet Pro 6500 or 8600 series. Haven't had any issues with them at all. The toner can get pricey if you're printing a lot of color presentation style flyers.

I mostly scan documents for upload to our mortgage origination system and now that we use electronic disclosures with eSignatures I do not print much at all.

HP OJP has been good for my needs.

Best Printers

Can also go to WalMart and pick up a Canon PIXMA for less than $50 that will get the job done.

That has happened to me twice with the workforce 3640. After I replace black innk cartridge the first time in each one. Black ink would not print.

And typically, if the black ink won't print, nothing will.
