55" LG and we're constantly battling the glare at the tailgate. I see some options on Amazon for covers but around $150 which seems outrageous, especially with the cost of TVs these days. Are there any other options out there?

You could fabricate something to cover the top and sides and basically upholster it with a blackout curtain. Kind of a table shape with hinged legs for travel.

Most glare comes from above. Get your set up high on a mount slanted down so it doesn't get reflections from the sky.

What's your set up? Our group hasn't had TVs set up in years but we are about to start. Do you use a dish or something like Sling TV?

DishNetwork has a package called the Tailgater. It's awesome and easy AF to set up.
