In the market for a new tablet, wife broke the nexus 7. Any recommendations?

I love my Nexus 10 but they don't make them anymore. You might can find it some places.

Well after an exhaustive search, I just bought a Nexus 9. There are mixed reviews but I like the Nexus approach and those who don't have hardware issues love it.
It's overpriced, but I'll let you know how it is.
To replace a Nexus 7, I'd probably look at the nvidia.

Nexus 9 and the Samsung tab s 10 are two I've read about. They both seem expensive. I don't like Touchwiz and wish the nexus had expandable memory

Yeah, Nvidia Shield tablet or another Nexus 7 would be my choices. You can still get the 7 from some online retailers.

I would go Nokia n1 if I was getting an android tablet.

Just started playing with the Nexus 9. Like it so far. Size is perfect IMO. Screen is pretty solid, despite some detractors.
The fit and finish issues are present if you look. The back moves a little, but doesn't feel flimsy. There is some light bleed I noticed on start up, but I haven't really noticed it since.
In sum, I like it a lot more than my iPad. It's over priced by 50-75 bucks, but I'm guessing Google support will make up for some of that.

I have had the nexus 10 since first release, love it. No real issues at all except with the last up date I got a few days ago, think it was the lollipop update. Was glitchy for awhile and would shut itself off in the middle of doing something. But seems to have resolved itself now and running smoooth. Got a new laptop last year and never even turn the thing on. But yes they are expensive.
