Just looked at a house in Americana. House was over 400K and had shitty Frigidaire appliances. The dishwasher was $300 model from lowes but hey they have gigabit internet.

So, McMansions, or mini McMansions? Don't care, has Gigabit.

Not that I can come close to affording a 400K house. Still, that's pretty close to Central. Wonder what it took to get Cox to deploy in that neighborhood first.

John Enquist is the money man behind Americana. I am sure he put up some $$$ to make it happen. They have spent a small fortune in marketing on that development. They are trying to copy River Ranch but doing it with 100% zero lots. The biggest lot in the 1st phase is 60*100. Walk ons is scheduled to start building in the fall and open next spring. It's their second commercial addition. They have a long way to go.

I always assumed the bill would get to a gigadollar before the internet got to a gigabit.
