Amazon vs In Store purchase for a Surface Pro 3

So I'm buying a Surface Pro 3 tomorrow(256 gig I5 model) and I can buy it on Amazon new with 1 day shipping for about $200 less than buying it in the store because it has a discount and I wouldn't pay taxes.
I've just never made a purchase this large online before and am wondering if it's better to pay extra to buy it in a store
Not sure if I trust a $1100 dollar piece of equipment being shipped.

If it arrives broken Amazon will get you a new one pretty damn fast.
Half the people on here build their own computers and spend
money at Amazon on a regular basis.
I've built a couple 2k computers and to this point haven't received a broken item.
Oh and if Cad shows up, don't listen to him.

I would be willing to pay more to buy it from Amazon if it meant I didn't have to deal with best buy.

I bought a laptop on Amazon a few months ago and it was DOA. Called up Amazon and they shipped me a new one next day and I shipped the broken one back (on their dime). You have nothing to worry about.

anyway I had one shipped from Best Buy to England no problem.
