I bought my son a 10" Kindle Fire HD in August. He has bunk beds and it fell out of the top bunk onto the usb cable that was plugged into it. It bent the prongs inside the micro usb port, and I'm pretty sure actually snapped one of them off. Anyway, it won't charge at all now. What do you think my options are? Do you think I can send it to Amazon and they'll fix or replace it for free or for a small fee? Never dealt with Amazon in a warranty issue and don't know if it'll be covered as it was due to neglect. Or is it difficult to change the port? I can buy the port on eBay for about $15. I've changed ipad screens before using YouTube instructions, but I can't find a video on how to fix this. There isn't much out there on the 10" Fire. Or, is there a place in BR that'll replace the port for me?

What would you do in my situation, besides beat my kids arse? Lol

Is this Amazons Kindle for kids? If so it comes with a two year warranty, no questions asked.

No. It's their big 10" model. The kids one is a 7 or 8" cheaper one. I paid $250 for this one. I did get the 32gb model without the ads, so I'd like to fix it. He had it in a durable rubber case, but it didn't help with the cable sticking out.

While you're on the phone with customer service, tell them to make the echo dots connect to each other and work as 1
