Amazon Fire Stick + Kodi

I've bought an Amazon Firestick from this lady at work, whose boy friend install the kodi on them. Its awesome, and I can watch all kinds of Movies and TV shows.
I was wondering if there is anything else I should download on it. If anyone has any suggestions for good add ons.

search for kodi or tvmc and there are a bunch of threads, but as has been said, genesis and sportsdevil get the most use from me.

Learn how to update Kodi yourself with adbFire because it gets updated frequently.

I can't tell of Genesis sucks or I have poor internet. I haven't been able to get a full movie to stream since buying it

Genisis is updating quite frequently. It is all about which feed you connect to. There is an auto play option that usually gives the best feed. Additionally, there is a new option called the beast. Here's the link from you tube on how to install. the guy doing the vid is funny but has good info. enjoy.

How do you install sportsdevil directly to the firestick once you have kodi installed?

It's a separate download and install from a zip. I use ES file explorer to transfer from my Android tablet or phone into the Fire stick and install from inside Kodi once it is on the stick's memory.

Genesis has had problems for a month or so now.....hence an update every few days. They are trying to fix it. According to Genesis developers, some of the scraper sites have gone down and/or changed their formatting and that is part of the problem. I have been using 1Channel with the Axle Downloader app for a couple weeks and it works pretty well. Axle Downloader allows 1Channel to download (buffer) from multiple sites at one time. It has greatly reduced my need to buffer HD stuff. If they ever get Genesis fixed I will probably go back to that but 1Channel is a good backup.

Yea I was thinking the same thing. When I first got my firestick, Genesis worked great, but lately it seems to constantly buffer. My HBO GO also seems to freeze. Ill scroll through the movies click play, and my screen will just go black.
Anyone got any info on that?

so how do you get this beast kodi installed? do you uninstall the original and start from scratch?

i followed the directions from the youtube video. You must have kodi installed and then go from there. At the end of the install of beast, you reset and it takes over.

Beast seems really really bloated. Does it actually make anything run better, or is it just kind if like xmbchub?
