So anyone an Alfred user for Mac/OsX?

I just downloaded and started and it's quite cool, faster than finder (and I'm a workflow geek).

Is the powerpack worth it? Does it really save that much time? I wish I could test snippets and workflows, which I feel would be valuable, but alas I cannot.

Thoughts?

I have used it for years, but never did get the Powerpack.

I pretty much only use it for launching apps (which you can do just as easily these days with Spotlight) and to define certain words while writing (it's much faster to type cmd-space dict [word]).

I used to be a diehard Quicksilver user until I saw how much memory it used, explored and saw Alfred's features and the community behind it.

I have since bought the powerpack, and if you are a workflow geek it is for sure worth it. You can set up (or even download templates) for pretty much anything you can think of.

I set one up the other day to go into system preferences, switch my audio output from the DAC to my soundcard (two sound systems) by pushing F6. Got another a week before triggler -- toggle hidden files -- to get done what use to take me a google search, copy / paste into terminal. Tons of others and always tinkering with more.

It's a bit expensive ($26) but that's two lunches you bring left overs for instead of going out to eat.

I do a lot of coordinating, communicating, screensharing, and everything has it's own space for me, and I'm tired of jeeping open 4 screens and 4 different tab sets. I'd love to opt+space and type something short to pop one open with the right tabs. I'm sure that's relatively easy?

Add to that the snippet ability since I need various piles of information quickly accessible into my emails and this thing would be pure gold to me.

Thanks for the input.

Any particular uses that I'm not thinking of? Think general business workflow.
